Introduction
There are four areas included in this section. The two main topics regarding
production of grain are 'Growing our food' and 'Where does bread come from?'.
There is some overlap between the two, and the second topic should build on
learning from the first. The first topic is concerned with the growth process
and the second with the 'grain chain' which follows the trail from 'farm to
fork'.
The topic objectives and curriculum links outlined are those that relate
directly to the content of this science/geography/environmental
studies/health-based topic. PSHE/PSD/PSE, mathematics and English links which
directly relate to the topic have also been added but there will be other more
general learning objectives and curriculum links that you may wish to include.
